Up and coming wrestler. Colter Mason, 5, watches some of the wrestling action at the Western A Divisional in Hamiton on Friday with his dad, Lynn Mason, assistant wrestling coach for Corvallis. This was an especially exciting time for Colter. The young lad broke his leg in December of 2002, and a bone cyst was subsequently discovered. Colter was in a cast for six weeks; the cyst was still there when the cast came off so more treatment was necessary. In June of 2003, Colter underwent a procedure in which the cyst was scraped out and bone marrow from Colter's hip was injected along with a growth stimulant. Colter then endured another cast and then a brace until January 26, 2004 when the brace was removed. "He's been bouncing off the walls," said his dad.
