Jennifer Ray has my support for Ravalli County Justice of the Peace, Dept. 1. She has earned this through her experience, hard work and dedication. Jennifer has a total of 12 years experience with the important work of Justice Court. Her duties as court administrator for Dept. 2 have given her extensive experience in organizing court schedules, office management and budgeting. This administrative experience also includes extensive day-to-day court room experience. Professionally, she has held herself to a high standard as a 12 year member of the Montana Courts of Limited Jurisdiction Clerks’ Association. Currently she is secretary of that state-wide organization.
Jennifer has also acted as a substitute Justice of the Peace for the last 7 years. As such, she comes to the position already prepared, having dealt repeatedly with the myriad of cases a Justice of the Peace must hear. These include: misdemeanor criminal cases, initial appearances on felony cases, bail bond hearings, and temporary orders of protection. Having appeared in front of her both as a defense attorney and the County Attorney prosecuting cases, I can attest to her fairness.
