Support for Florence school board incumbents

April 22, 2014 by Editor

The Florence-Carlton School is conducting a school board trustee election. This election is a mail-in election. Ballots will go out this Wednesday, April 16th. Ballots must be returned by May 6th, 2014.

The Florence-Carlton Education Association held a public candidate forum on Wednesday, April 9 at Florence-Carlton school. The four school board candidates were given four questions in advance and were able to share their responses with the audience. The audience members were also able to submit questions, which were drawn randomly by the moderator and posed to the candidates.

Prior to this, on Monday, April 7th, the FCEA also invited each candidate to participate in an individual interview in front of the FCEA members. Each candidate attended and was interviewed by a panel of teachers.

The FCEA wishes to thank the candidates for taking time to participate.

At the conclusion of these two events, the FCEA members have voted to endorse the incumbents, Mrs. Vickie Cornish and Mrs. Dorothy Rhodes, for the 2014 Florence-Carlton School Board election.

Please remember that this is a mail-in election only, so all ballots must be received by May 6th.

Scott Stiegler, President

Florence-Carlton Education Association
