Ole Raymond Field

February 25, 2014 by Editor

Ole Raymond Field, loving husband, father, and grandfather, left this world in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 of natural causes, with his wife Linda by his side at home in Missoula.
Born May 19, 1944 in Loring, MT to Raymond and Erminie Oberlander Field. They preceded him in death. They moved to Malta, MT where he, his sister Alice (Solberg) and brothers John and Fredlin attended school. He was very active in 4-H and FFA. He graduated with a BA in Ag Production from MSC (MSU Bozeman) in 1967.
While attending college in Bozeman he put himself through school doing different jobs, one of which was helping Burr and Alene Blackwood on their farm. It was during that time he met the love of his life, Linda Gee. They were married June 1967 and have two beautiful daughters with four wonderful grandchildren: Jill (Faron) Stevens (Joshua and Jessica Stevens) and Tonia Field (Noah and Ali Ward).
He always loved visiting with people and helping them any way he could. He was a very talented person. Many people have enjoyed his artistic talent of steel silhouettes and railing creations. He has also built several large machines using only blueprints in his mind.
He did not want us to mourn for him but to celebrate his life. We will be celebrating his life with a memorial on Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Clark Fork City Church/Steven Valentine Community Center, 2811 Latimer St. (behind Target on N. Reserve) Missoula.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his name to a 4-H or FFA Chapter of your choice. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
