I have been a resident of Ravalli County longer than any other county in Montana, over 30 years. I have never been so disgusted and dismayed to live here until now. The three commissioners’ decision to vote to not accept funding for women’s health was completely unconscionable. To take funding away from people who cannot afford good health care because you disagree with parts of it is just plain wrong. It is my great hope that those women whom you voted against will take action in the voting booth.
As for you three, somewhere down the road you may meet a woman who has no hair and less hope due to advanced breast cancer that, if you had VOTED DIFFERENTLY, her cancer could have been caught earlier. If she asks you why you took away her ability to get a breast exam, what are you going to tell her?
