Legal Notice
The Ravalli County Planning Department is inviting public comment on a floodplain permit application for work proposed within the floodplain of the Bitterroot River. The proposed project will construct a boat passage on the Corvallis Canal Diversion Dam near the eastern end of the dam using rock and cement grout in an attempt to provide a safe passage over the structure for floaters. The project also proposes to use rock to fill voids along the length of the existing dam. The project is located in the Bitterroot River directly adjacent to and downstream from the headgate of the Corvallis Canal, in Sections 25 and 26, Township 6 North, Range 21 West, Ravalli County. The BOARD OF RAVALLI COUNTY COMMISSIONERS has completed the final budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014 (Fiscal Year 2014).  The Board will take comment on the final budget on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at which time the Board will  hold a public hearing, then adopt the final budget and fix the tax levies.  Any taxpayer or resident of the county may appear for or against any part of the budget.  The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners Conference Room (third floor) at 215 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, Montana.
