BPA Fellowship Club
The Bitterroot Public Library’s Fellowship Club will meet Thursday, June 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the West Meeting Room of the BPL, to discuss the book: “The Kybalion” by Three Initiates. Based on the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, the ancient Egyptian who founded astrology and alchemy, the Kybalion seeks to offer mystical and mysterious secrets of the past. This historic text explains the hermetic philosophy of success and illumination of life, that belonged to ancient Egypt and Greece, and provides clear direction for implementing these timeless secrets in modern life.
Along with the Tao Te Ching this book is one of the most complete and concise spiritual texts ever written. While in times gone by, the seven principles outlined in this book seemed to be only arbitrary spiritual maxims, today they are seen as being in accord with the view of quantum physics. Kybalion states that the universe is mind-like in nature and, building on this premise, the rest of the book claims to describe how to manifest anything with one’s thoughts through conscious use of these principles and a meticulous application of the universal laws involved.
In this extraordinary 1912 book, the three secret initiates to Hermes Trismegistus’ teachings – who remain anonymous to this day – share their insight with all who seek to understand the mysterious underpinnings of the universe and our relationship with it.
The Fellowship Club meets every second Thursday of the month in the West Meeting Room of the Bitterroot Public Library and is free and open to anyone seeking to promote individual and collective well being. Call 363-1670, or email jacostant@gmail.com for more information.
