NVPL Ireland travel program
Rich with history, culture, recreation and serene beauty, Ireland captures the hearts of those lucky enough to find themselves on its emerald shores. Experience the next best thing at the library through a lively travel presentation featuring the sojourns of Stevensville residents, John and Lorraine Conlan, on Wednesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. “My Heart’s Tonight in Ireland: From Dublin to Doolin” will be held in the library’s community room. Light refreshments will be served and casual discussion will follow the presentation. John and Lorraine hold a wealth of information regarding the history, music and culture of Ireland as well as the recreational opportunities that abound in its national and state parks. Close ties to the country color these experiences and stories. Both sets of grandparents immigrated to America in the 20th century and close relatives continue to live in Ireland, giving them an intimate look at both the history and current culture of the country. This is the third trip for the Conlans and it showcases a diversity of experiences, from the vibrant city of Dublin to the bucolic splendor surrounding Doolin. Stories, music and photos will delight the memories of those that have been to Ireland as well as those who hope to make it a future destination.
This program is a part of the library’s Live Green at Your Library Series in March and April. In addition to the travel presentation, NVPL will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by featuring Irish cinema during its Saturday Movie Matinees on the first, second and third Saturday of March at 12 noon. Sustainable living classes and community garden information will also be featured during this series. For program dates and times check the NVPL online events calendar at www.northvalleylibrary.org or contact the library’s Program Coordinator, Caitlin Kempainen, at 777-5061.

BPL Fellowship Club
The Bitterroot Public Library’s Fellowship Club will meet on Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the West Meeting Room of the BPL, to discuss the book, “The Twelve Layers of DNA (Kryon, Book 12)” by Lee Carroll and E. Dubro-Cohen.
DNA is our chemical blueprint, but the Human Genome Project found that over ninety percent of it is not coded. In fact only approximately four percent creates the 23,000 genes in the human body. The rest is a puzzle in the extreme and to this day there is no answer why most DNA seems to be random, with no symmetry or code of any kind.
With a foreword by DNA researcher Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, this book is an esoteric breakthrough that explores the actual energies, or twelve layers of DNA, and gives a full channeled explanation of this that brings it right into the quantum world. Is it possible that DNA is mostly quantum instructions – information that speaks to the human body? And if so, what’s in those instructions that comprise over 2.7 billion chemicals per DNA double helix? Could it be that our entire Akashic record is carried in our DNA? What else might be represented?
Lee Carroll is an American channeler, speaker, and author. In his Kryon series he elaborated a number of popular New Age concepts such as co-creating, a spiritual contract, karmic imprint, synchronicity, ascension, etc… Elan Dubro-Cohen is an American-Israeli artist who has a fifteen-year background in art and graphic design and has worked with various major advertising companies.
