Colleen Weaver Poole

Gilbert, AZ – Colleen Weaver Poole passed away January 1, 2013 in her daughter’s home in Gilbert Arizona. Preceded in death by her husband Joe Poole, Colleen is survived by her sister Connie (Warren) Gaston. She is also survived by her 6 children; Jolene Zanutto, Salmon Idaho, Arlene (Steve) Fisher, Bakersfield California, Marilyn Poole, Missoula Montana, Joe (Eloise) Poole, Portland Oregon, Barbara (Larry) Winter, Gilbert Arizona, Glenda (Jack) Bradley, Miles City Montana, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Colleen was born in Menan, Idaho February 24, 1933. She married Joe Poole in 1949 in Salt Lake City. She and Joe moved to the 3-Mile area in 1953 where they lived until 1973 when they sold the ranch, moved to town and purchased the local IGA store. After selling the store Colleen managed a fabric store and enjoyed fishing and camping with Joe. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with their growing family. In later years, she spent many hours doing family history research, serving as a Family History Consultant and missionary for the LDS Church.
Colleen was known for her beautiful flowers and homemade quilts. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and the many hours of service she gave to her loved ones and friends.
Services will be January 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church, 100 Middle Burnt Fork Rd, Stevensville Montana, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Stevensville. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
