Governor fulfilling promises

October 15, 2024 by Guest Post

by Pat Earnest, Stevensville

We have had four years of leadership by Governor Gianforte and he has fulfilled what he promised. We are debt-free, saving taxpayers $40 million, have the largest income tax cut in state history, given property tax rebates for two years, record funding for K-12 schools, signed legislation to protect the unborn and petitioned the Supreme Court, record 24 months of unemployment below 3%, made Montana the #1 state to start a business in the nation, most people employed in state history at 563,000, more than $10 million of grant funding has been allocated to communities and affordable housing organizations to help reduce homelessness and increase housing stability. He donates his salary every quarter.

When the mills shut down, he secured nearly $2 million investment to support displaced lumber workers.

His priorities are jobs and economy, government working for you, health care, education and workforce, safe communities and protecting our way of life.

The Governor’s home needed excessive repairs, so Governor Greg Gianforte and First Lady Susan Gianforte purchased the historic Samuel T. Hauser House, which they will donate to the State of Montana. The home will serve as their primary residence in Helena.

The Gianforte Family Foundation has contributed $118 million, supported 660+ nonprofit partners working in Montana in 20 years with over 2,700 grants. The focus is supporting Montana organizations that, in turn, help people in need to improve their lives in a sustainable way to see our state flourish and that is possible only by individuals and families flourishing—not just economically but physically, mentally, and spiritually as well. It takes a holistic approach.

It has been my honor and privilege to call Governor Greg and First Lady Susan Gianforte my trusted friends for nine years as I continue to help them in their efforts. I have traveled with them, sat beside them in church, and seen them in all walks of life. They represent my values, consider their elected position as serving us, and have so much more that they desire to accomplish for us. Let’s give them four more years.

    Craig,
Where did the surplus of funds come from? Fiscal responsibility from Gianforte? No. Federal funds earmarked for Montana for Covid relief and the Covid era influx of wealthy newcomers who think Montana is like the Dutton Yellowstone ranch.

Ummm, I’m just replying to the author being so enamoured with a balanced budget. It’s not a big deal.

Oh really….it’s the responsibility of good government to have a balanced budget AND, a bonus to be debt free. Big Government violates the rights of We The People. Too bad the Biden/Harris administration hasn’t figured out that printing money is in direct correlation to inflation. #SaveAmerica #VoteRepublican

montana, i believe, like many other states have a constitutional mandate to balance their budget. when you are forced to balance a budget it’s pretty easy. it doesn’t matter if you have democratic or republican governor.
The federal government doesn’t have a constitutional requirement to balance the budget, so it’s easier for politicians to NOT do it. Republicans and democrats love to spend money. The rhetoric spewn by both political parties in DC in regards to spending/ balanced budgets is laughable. Trump or Harris in the whitehouse next year will still result in deficit spending.

Excuse me? The Covid funds were specific in what they could be used for. Governor Gianforte used them but the main funding he manages has nothing to do with Covid funds. He’s a business leader who knows how to help Montanans prosper.

The damn guy thinks dinosaurs and humans coexisted. And allowed property taxes to soar – except for rich blowhards like himself. Ryan Busse for governor!

i believe that montana has a balanced budget amendment. So it’s not a big deal, balancing a budget is easy if you are required to.

I also believe in what our Bible says! He didn’t allow property taxes to soar, he’s working on a permanent decrease in taxes for residents. This lie is all that Busse can come up with. Too bad he’s wasted so much money to only be defeated.
