The Hidden Depths of Myth & Fairytales

Join us as we travel east of the sun, west of the moon, and into the deep dark forest, to dive into the hidden depths of myth and fairytales. Drawing from tales from around the world, some of the topics this 2-part program will discuss include:
- The difference between myth, fairytales & folklore
- The meaning of archetypes (ex. the witch in the woods, the princess in the tower, the noble knight, etc.)
- The significance of narrative patterns (ex. why is mom always dead and the stepmother so mean?
- The relevance of enchantment in today’s world and for adults
Part II of this series to be announced. It is recommended but not required to attend both sessions. Zoom option available.
