Like you, I regularly read the political rants that appear in this Opinion section of the Bitterroot Star. I think we can do better.
My request today is simple: To you MAGA Republicans, how do you envision the population of the country will be better off under a second Trump Administration? What policies do you expect, and how will they benefit “we the people?”
I would really like to hear considered responses to the questions. It’s the kind of information that voters can use. I would welcome any issue, strategy, country-centric or financial plan comments.
But, what I do not wish for is yet another screed berating Democrats or Biden or current policy. Nor do I want responses that say “We will stop doing X or Y.” The question is “If we don’t do X or Y, what will we do?”
I do want your vision, your policy ideas, your beliefs about how we can make this country better for most all of our citizens.

The overall silence on this simple request is loud indeed. The only MAGA response is outlandish, suggesting Trump would be a sympathetic listener.

Are you saying a second term for Trump will give us a president who is open to hearing all points of view, even those that might be at odds with his MAGA perspective?

Good question, a little on the loaded side with the gauntlet being thrown at the feet of “MAGA Republicans” though.I also see some “I don’t want…” demands that put some distance between you and any out-of the-box comments which makes for a one sided conversation. I can’t give you what seek but I can tell you that I am more interested in what a second Trump term does not bring to the table, which is a deaf ear. I see the gain for our Country as being able to have an open conversation once again. Hope that fits your parameters.
