Bitterroot Audubon’s February Program—Rewilding Parts of Montana’s Northern Great Plains

Bitterroot Audubon’s February program will feature a Zoom presentation on conservation group American Prairie’s efforts towards fully restoring the shortgrass prairie ecosystem in 5,000 square miles of Montana’s Northern Great Plains. Dr. Daniel Kinka, American Prairie’s Wildlife Restoration Manger will provide an overview of American Prairie’s rewilding efforts to date, and how they plan to expand them. Rewilding of this kind not only jumpstarts latent ecological processes and restores wildlife abundance, it also speaks to a sense of wonder and inspiration that can only be found in a wilder world. 

This Zoom presentation is scheduled for Monday, February 19 at 7 p.m.The public is invited to attend. You must register in advance for this meeting at:
