It’s hard to miss all the political signs that once again are muddying up the valley and one that I find particularly objectionable is that of Fred Thomas who is running for senator in district 45. Fred Thomas states that he wants to put us back on the right track… would that be the same track that derailed Montana Power and brought us higher energy prices and the loss of jobs and other woes to Montana? One would think that Fred Thomas along with other members of Racicot & Company would hang their heads in shame for their complicity in aiding and abetting Enron in bringing energy deregulation to Montana.
If, perhaps, Fred Thomas has already issued a public apology and admitted culpability for his part in the deregulation fiasco and I somehow slept through it all, then I apologize, otherwise I urge all of you who intend to vote in the upcoming primary to cast your vote for Gary MacLaren.
