I am writing this letter to express the deep regard my husband and I have for our volunteer fire department here in Florence.
We had an incident here at our home that occurred while we were burning leaves, pine needles, cones, etc. that had accumulated. When we lost control of the fire, I called the fire department and if it weren’t for their timely response we would very likely have lost our house.
I can’t emphasize enough the competence and courtesy of these volunteers. We here in Florence are very fortunate.
My husband and I will certainly vote for their upcoming bond issue. I know that this group would not waste the money and when they say it’s needed it really is.
