Soroptimist International of Hamilton is having a Turbo Turtle Race to raise funds for the Advocacy Room at S.A.F.E. [Supporters of Abuse Free Environment]. The Advocacy Room will be a secure, private place where survivors of domestic abuse can meet with S.A.F.E. professionals to discuss the resources and services available to them.
Adopt a turtle simply by going to the website: theturtlesarecoming.com. Adoption is available at several levels: Lonely Turtle- $5.00, Family of 6 Turtles -$25.00, Turtle Dozen of 13 -$50.00, and a Herd of 26 Turtles – $100.00. Adopters do not need to be present to win.
On June 25th at 2 pm, plastic turtles will float down the Corvallis Canal at Hieronymus Park in Hamilton. Winners are chosen by a bar code on the bottom of the turtle assigned to the adopter’s purchase and will be contacted by a Soroptimist member.
Adopt your turtle today – Support S.A.F.E., and have a chance to win $500, $250, or $100.
