We have a battle for HD88 between two Christian Constitutional Conservatives, Wayne Rusk and Alan Lackey. Neither has a voting record but listening to them, Wayne is for COS, Alan is not; Wayne doesn’t believe in nullification, Alan does; Wayne thinks that the JBS is a Right Wing problem, Alan sees them as people who are educating us on the Constitution in a DVD series, “The Constitution is the Solution” series. Alan and his wife Terri and STFF “Militia” were there for me when my husband Gary passed away. They helped me stack wood and some other things around my house and they helped with the memorial service. Wayne Rusk is being groomed by the Solution Caucus. Draw your own conclusions of who you want to represent you.

@Becky.
Directly from the Bible;
Exodus 21:20–21 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.”
So your god thinks it’s OK to own other humans as property, as long as you don’t beat them to death.
Timothy 2:12 “I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.”
Your god also thinks women should sit down and shut up.
LEVITICUS 20:13 “‘If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death”
Your god clearly orders the murder of homosexuals.
I think you need to read the Bible a bit more. You don’t seem to know what’s in it.

@Gomez
I’m not going to attempt to teach you God’s writings. You can continue to twist to your narrative all you desire.. in the end you and I both will answer to God himself. Only advice I can give you is to surrender yourself to him. Free will is great until eternal death comes. Your choice!

If Alan wins will he also represent the atheists in his district, or just the Christians?
Gomez says
I was wondering the same thing.
Becky says
Are the atheists wanting constitutional representation?? You can always ask him if you don’t want to take my word for it.
KMc says
Don’t ALL Americans want constitutional representation? I’m just confused by people who run for office as “christian conservatives.” What does that even mean?
Gomez says
It’s just pandering, plain and simple. That said, do I want a representative who will push back if someone claims to know the mind of a god and what this god supposedly wants of us? Absolutely. Magical thinking has no place in creating public policy.
Becky says
No not all want constitutional representation. Not all who run for politics want to give constitutional representation. Alan is for the 10th amendment and Wayne is not for example.
A Christian Conservative is an individual who knows and whole heartedly believes this country was founded on God’s principles. Knows and whole heartedly believes Jesus Christ came, died, and rose from the dead for ALL mankind to have the ability to spend eternity with him at the right hand of God in Heaven.

If you’re talking about being in support of slavery, the subjugation of women and the persecution of same sex couples, yup, that’s the god of the Bible. Don’t you think it’s time we moved on from basing our morality on an ancient book of mythology though?
Becky says
@Gomez
That is absurd!!
