Mask burning ceremony

February 23, 2022 by Guest Post

by Chuck Burgmeier, Commander, American Legion Post 94, Stevensville

Mask mandates are certainly one of the “hottest” subjects in our society.  While some citizens argue that wearing masks is still necessary to combat the new Covid variants, recent studies suggest that wearing masks has really had no impact on the spreading of this disease.  Other studies suggest wearing masks is having a very negative effect on our children.  Current statistics on the number of new Covid cases and patients hospitalized, suggest that the virus’s impact is wanning.

At the February 15, 2022, meeting of Fort Owen Post 94, considerable discussion took place concerning the current status of the Covid Pandemic.  The members unanimously agreed that we think it is time to MOVE ON!  While we recognize that some of our fellow citizens will disagree with us, we suggest that we move from mandates to personal choice.

Thus, we will be hosting a MASK DISPOSAL (burn that pesky mask) CEREMONY at the American Legion Fort Owen Post 94 Post Home on Middle Burnt Fork Road from 10:00AM to 4:00PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022.  We will have a burn-barrel ready for your mask.  You will also be able to drive over a Cut The Devil Off Your Tail portal.  The first 60 vehicles will receive a MOVING ON coin to keep in your glove box.

Again, the theme is MOVING ON as we feel it is past time to shed the long hibernation we have been in and to get on with our lives by returning to some normalcy!  We hope to see you there and God Bless our Republic!

Perhaps breathing deeply of the smoke and fumes from the burning plastic in masks would help purge the shackles of mind control and help to cure Covid as much as Ivermectin or bleach treatments.
Actually, In spite of the Darwinian benefits, I do hope the people involved realize that burning plastic creates poisonous air that we all share and that is harmful to health. Maybe they can come up with a responsible ceremony of personal rebellion that respects their own as well as community health.

      Maybe they will wear masks.

Along with there being no mandate to wear a mask it is also not required that one wear green socks. Therefore, I recommend that those torching face wear include their green socks in the burn barrel.

A bunch of yahoos got together on Feb 15th and declared that the Covid-19 pandemic is over. Never realizing that the SARS-CoV-2 virus doesn’t really care what they believe. ( I almost said “what they think” but thinking doesn’t really happen with these guys. )

Now these geniuses want to hold a “mask burning” super spreader event to protest non-existent mask mandates. The level of their stupidity is breathtaking.

While it is generally true that “you can’t fix stupid”, maybe the virus can help us out a bit here? Come March 19th, my thoughts and prayers are with the virus.

I see that you either don’t get out much or don’t actually live here. There are no mask mandates in Stevensville.

” recent studies suggest that wearing masks has really had no impact on the spreading of this disease.”
