Bitterroot Valley's best source for local news!
The Bitterroot Star online calendar is only for community events that are free and events that would be fundraisers for local non-profit organizations.
When submitting an event, be sure to include date(s), time, venue (location), and organizer information. Your event will not be published if any of this information is missing. We review all events before we post them. This may take up to 2 business days.
Spring is here and we’re hittin’ the trails! Want to ride and make a difference by volunteering to help keep our trails open? If so, come join the SPWBCH, a friendly, hardworking group of volunteers dedicated to preserving the common-sense use of horses in the backcountry. The meeting will be Tuesday, May 11, at 6 p.m. at the home of President, Duane Krowen located at 313 Eagle Feather Ln, Victor. The meeting will be held outside, please bring a chair. Discussions will include summer trail work, scouting rides and upcoming events. If you are new to the valley and want to meet new friends and see the beautiful mountain trails, come join in! Owning a horse is not required to be a member and volunteer on our trails. Guests are always welcome to join for lots of “trail talk”. For more information and directions call Duane at 541-892-6713 or 406-642-3932.
