#2 Falcons conquer Copperheads

The Florence football team hosted Anaconda on Friday, Oct. 16, and defeated the visiting Copperheads 46-0. Florence has dominated in conference play over the last four games, outscoring their opponents 210-13. Florence has the #1 seed from the West locked up for the upcoming Class B State tournament.

Polls and rankings are subjective, but in the 406 MT Sports Oct. 13 poll Florence is ranked #2 behind undefeated Huntley Project, while the Montana Sports power poll has Florence ranked #1.

Schneiter had rushing touchdown runs of 2, 15, 21, and 46 yards, and threw two touchdown passes to WR Makoah Laasch. Florence WR Robert Cooper Schroeder had 6 catches for 106 yards. Florence RB Luca Calderone rushed for 50 yards and had a six-yard touchdown run.

#5 Broncs manhandle Maroons

The Hamilton football team took to the road last week, traveling to Butte Central on Friday, Oct. 16, to battle the Maroons. Hamilton wasted little time as they jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 42-7 victory.

For Hamilton, QB Cooper Weston completed 14 of 19 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. RB Jude Widner rushed for 48 yards and had three total touchdowns – two rushing and a 38-yard touchdown reception. TE Kaeden Gum caught five catches for 84 yards including two touchdown receptions of 36 and 23 yards. RB Brandon Saltzman added a five-yard touchdown run. Easton Hollis led Hamilton’s defense with eight total tackles.

Hamilton is now 6-1 on the season and is ranked in the top five in both the 406 MT Sports poll and the Montana Sports power poll. Hamilton’s final regular season game pits them against Bitterroot neighbor Corvallis on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

Stevensville succumbs to Dillon

The Stevensville football team traveled to Dillon on Friday, Oct. 16, to battle the Beavers. Stevensville stumbled out of the gate, as they gave up five first quarter touchdowns to Dillon and trailed 0-35 after the first quarter and 0-42 at halftime. The second half was mostly even, but the damage was already done and Stevensville lost 7-47.

Stevensville is now 2-5 on the season. For their final game of 2026, Stevensville travels to Frenchtown to play the Broncs (5-2) on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

Corvallis falls to Frenchtown
