Funny thing…this AM I received a political plea for money that included the message of “shredding suffocating regulations.” Casting blame on regulations for the multiple affordability crises of housing, groceries, education, and crime.
From what I recall…regulations are the direct result of malfeasance or preying on the consumer. You know how the regulations have come about-right?
We, the People, got fed up with being subjected to abuse and responded with requests for elected representatives to protect them from the preying parties with legislation.
Fraud, rape, murder, and different forms of abuse are a few “regulations” for example.
Or conversely…a law or regulation was drafted to allow an interested party to exploit the unsuspecting and/or gullible.
So now I’m curious! Are “suffocating regulations” the ones written to protect We, the People, or are they the ones drafted to allow exploitation?
I wonder where DATA Center regulation will fall? I wonder where Murdered and Missing Indigenous People (MMIP) regulation will fall? Off a capitalist cliff perhaps? Maybe one and not the other?
Shredding suffocating regulations…to whose benefit?
Well, we get to decide in a few weeks, don’t we?
Whose voice will be yours, who will benefit from your vote? You?
