The golf teams from Corvallis, Hamilton, and Stevensville competed in the Western A Divisional golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 26, in Polson.
Hamilton’s Cameron Burnett won the Western A Divisional girls’ competition by shooting a 74, which bested second place by six strokes. The other Top 20 girls finishers from the Bitterroot Valley were Stevensville’s Evelynn Driskell in 8th (89), Hamilton’s Weber Haley in 11th (93), Corvallis’ Chloe Clements and Kirsten Race tied for 12th (94), and Corvallis’ Gracee Storrud tied for 19th (102).
Corvallis’ Dylan Wirt shot a 76 and took 2nd place in the boys’ competition. The other Top 20 boys finishers from the Bitterroot Valley were Hamilton’s Wilcox Easton who tied for 11th (79), and Hamilton’s Weber Treyden and Stevensville’s Kaden Wyant tied for 20th (82).
In the boys’ team standings, the Corvallis boys took 3rd place, the Hamilton boys took 4th place, and the Stevensville boys took 7th place.
In the girls’ team standings, Hamilton took 3rd place and Corvallis took 4th place.
