Pray for America

September 23, 2026 by Guest Post 2 Comments

by Grace Wilson, Stevensville

Because we live in this beautiful, relatively peaceful, Bitter Root valley, it is easy to become a little unconcerned or unaware about what is really happening to our great nation. But there is a sinister dangerous movement spreading quickly across the country. It is the combination of anti-American socialism-communism and radical Islam. This has already taken strong roots in Michigan, Minnesota, New York, California and many other states and cities. In fact, in the past 24 months, 40 new Islam mosques have been built in the conservative state of Texas. Yes-Texas. They want “death to America” as we know it, and will stop at nothing to take over the senate and the house this fall.

This movement is powerful and well planned with one goal, to destroy our nation. But we have the weapon of prayer at our disposal. Prayer to the one true, almighty, holy God. So if you believe in the power of prayer, and you want to keep America the land of the free, please pray. Pray for our leaders, local, state, and federal. Pray that God will protect our nation, pray against all the evil forces trying to destroy, and above all for a spiritual revival. “If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land.”

So especially between now and election day in Nov., DON’T FORGET TO PRAY.

“If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land.”

Unfortunately, Grace Wilson either forgot part of this scripture or deliberately left out the most important section. There is no good excuse for misquoting this. Read the whole verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND will heal their land.”

Praying alone is insufficient to get God’s attention. It must be accompanied by a desire to know Him and a turning away from wrong and sinful things. This is called repentance and without it, there is no possibility of forgiveness and healing, neither individually nor corporately.

Ms. Wilson offers the easy way out and the payoff is equivalent to the effort it takes–worthless. To heal America is going to take hard work and a radical change of behavior. Turn from their wicked ways is the key phrase here.

    Pay attention!

WOW! the author clearly has a lot of boogeymen in her life. There is no “communist” or “radical islam” threat in the US. These are buzz words that groups use to put fear in their listeners and control them. It’s sad , but not surprising, that americans fall for it. Two good books that the author should read are
“The Brothers” by Stephen Kinzer and “The Truth About Camp David” by Clayton E. Swisher.
The world see’s what americans don’t.
