The Bitterroot Valley high school soccer season kicked off last week. The Corvallis boys and girls teams traveled to Polson, while Stevensville and Hamilton played their opening matches in Stevensville.
Corvallis
The Corvallis boys played Thompson Falls in Polson on Friday, August 28, and won 2-0. They then played Browning in Polson on Saturday, and won 10-0.
The Corvallis girls played Browning in Polson on Friday, August 28, and won 8-0. For Corvallis, Kate Allen had two goals and an assist. Rowan Cole had two goals. Lauryn Holmberg had a goal and an assist. Claire Child had a goal. Katherine Wrobleski had a goal and an assist. Hailee Jacobsen had a goal, Briella Epling had a goal, and Lily Gardner had an assist.
Hamilton
The Hamilton girls played Columbia Falls in Stevensville on Friday, August 28, and lost 2-7. Hamilton’s Anna Lewis scored both of Hamilton’s goals. Then on Saturday, they tied 4-4 with Lone Peak.

Stevensville
The Stevensville boys hosted Columbia Falls on Friday, August 28, and lost 2-4. Then on Saturday, they hosted Lone Peak and won 1-0. Jacob Shobe scored the goal for Stevensville.
The Stevensville girls hosted Columbia Falls on Friday, August 28, and lost 1-6. Stevensville’s Bryton Brewer scored on an assist from Paisley Yaskus.. Then on Saturday, the Stevensville girls lost 0-1 to Lone Peak.
