Jon Tester is a champion for my family. Several years ago, my wife was sent to UCLA’s Medical Center for highly specialized care and received a bill for nearly $20,000, but TriCare refused to pay the bill. She contacted TriCare numerous times to no avail. Finally, when UCLA said they would need to put us on a payment plan, she contacted both of our senators and our congressman.
Our congressman sent her a form letter that said he didn’t believe in the Affordable Care Act – I guess neither he nor his staff read her letter since it had nothing to do with the ACA. One of our senators never responded. But Jon Tester got back to us immediately and resolved the problem. Her entire bill was approved and paid by TriCare after Jon intervened.
For my wife and me, Jon Tester’s work to improve care for Montana veterans isn’t the “little stuff.” If Matt Rosendale was really looking out for veterans, he would not trivialize our health care and the work Jon has done for us. But Rosendale is not looking out for us – he’s looking out for himself. We encourage all Montana vets to vote for Tester, because he not only says he cares about our vets, he does everything he can to help us!
