FLORENCE RURAL FIRE LEVY

A levy is on the ballot in the Florence Fire District that would authorize a 14-mill levy increase. The specific purpose of the additional money will be to add a water fill system used for fire suppression, to purchase new fire trucks and additional fire apparatus, and to build a satellite station on the east side of the fire district. The levy shall have no durational limit.

An increase of 14 mills on a residential property valued at $100,000 would result in an approximate annual tax increase of $15.64; on a residential property valued at $200,000 the annual tax increase would be approximately $31.28, and on a residential property valued at $400,000 the annual tax increase would be approximately $62.56, an increase of $95,000 per year or approximately 14 mills.

The City of Hamilton, Town of Darby, and the Town of Stevensville municipal elections will be conducted solely by mail ballot.

The Town of Pinesdale municipal election will be conducted at the Pinesdale Town Hall polling place. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day, November 8, 2011.
