Green Thumbs Up

Green Thumbs Up Garden Club will meet Monday, February 12 at 2 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the Bitterroot Public Library in Hamilton. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Master gardener Molly Hackett, author of the ‘Dirty Fingernails’ gardening advice column, will talk about growing roses in the Bitterroot Valley. Topics will include types of roses, planting and fertilizing, pruning and pest control, and keeping your plants alive over the winter. Questions are welcome.
Garden club member Karen Griffing will show how to make a simple folded paper heart basket suitable for Valentine’s Day. Materials and instructions will be available so everyone can make one to take home.
People are welcome to bring any garden-related items to place on the free table. Contact Karen at 381-1395 for more information.
