In reply to Jim Hamilton’s letter from August. 8th: must admit, I’m a bit confused after reading your letter regarding your own apparent confusion about what ‘grievous sin’ Hillary did to offend our nation’s military. Perhaps I can enlighten you: Hillary Clinton voted IN FAVOR of Bush’s Iraq War. Were you not aware of this?
This war resulted in the deaths of thousands of American service men and women; the deaths of thousands more civilians, and the mental and physical scarring the remains for thousands more.
Is this not only a complete and direct slap in the face to our nation’s military? Or perhaps Hillary knew where the WMDs are buried? (Do I even have to mention Benghazi here?)
Did Donald Trump vote for the Iraq War? Answer, no he did not. As a matter of fact, Donald Trump opposed the war from day 1, and also is not responsible for: America being 20 trillion in debt; 92 million unemployed; the only administration in American history to not see one year of >3% GDP growth, etc, etc, ad nauseum.
But Hillary Clinton has served in the administration that IS responsible for all of that, but I digress. Given the political climate that has surrounded Clinton for the last 30+ years (scandal after scandal after scandal), and the fact that Hillary sanctioned one of the bloodiest and costliest wars in American history, I’m wondering if you, Commando Hamilton, are having second thoughts about your vote in November?
