Why the sniveling?

June 1, 2016 by Guest Post

Hello Fellow Stupid Bowl Irrigators:
Replying to the 27-January-2016 letter by T.C. Richardson.
Well, I would like to personally thank BRID Manager Mr. John Crowley for a fine job of supplying the water to keep our pastures and hay fields green. Next I would like to thank the ditch riders who work 24/7 during the irrigation season to keep the water flowing smoothly. I’m a kinda newcomer to the Bitterroot and the BRID System (23 years) so hopefully indulge my rants.
Now along comes this massive four-member movement of folks who call themselves “Citizens for Fair Water.” They also call themselves a Non-Profit Organization, and only have to hold one meeting a year. Now I ask you, what do you do at this “one meeting” that I don’t see advertised (like BRID does)? Do you just sit around in a secret meeting, pick your nose, pass gas, and make the irrigation water cost increase?
What is your objective?
1. If, one of the objectives of “Citizens for Fair Water” was to cost the Three Mile Irrigators lots of money, congratulations, you’re achieving that.
a. The lawsuit you filed has cost the Three Mile Irrigators to date, in excess of $30,000.
b. It is estimated that the cost could exceed $100,000 before a decision is ruled – Wow, job well done!
2. Other than No. 1, you have not to this day, answered this question! It has been over a year since you started this crusade, do you think it’s about time?
Me, I’m happy to be a “Stupid Bowl” Bitterroot water user, so why are the four of you sniveling?
