The Lady Yellowjackets held off Dillon in Southwest A softball action on Saturday. The Beavs jumped out to an early lead in the first inning and scored four runs in both the first and second innings. But then the Stevensville defense settled down and began to click. They never let another Dillon run cross the plate for the rest of the game.

Kaylee Berning also had an RBI for Stevi. Sarah Morrison was the winning pitcher with Dani Trangmoe catching. Stevensville had 18 hits and one error.
Hamilton lost to Butte Central, 8-4. Butte Central put two runs across the plate in the first inning and built upon that. Hamilton wasn’t able to score until the sixth inning. Rachel Richardson and Rachael Ringer each scored doubles. Ringer went 2-for-4 at bat and had an RBI. Tessa Della Silva went 1-for-3 with a double . Brooke Huxtable went 1-for -3 with an RBI. Corvallis also tangled with the league-leading Butte Central Maroons and once again, Butte Central knocked runs in early. Corvallis’ runs were in the top of the final inning but it was not enough. Butte Central won, 8-3. Corvallis had seven hits and three errors in the game. Nicole Powell had a double for the Blue Devils. Hannah Brown went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Taia Tully also had an RBI.
