I just want to take this opportunity, as Dan Severson relinquishes ownership of Valley Drug, to say thank you for all you have done for the town of Stevensville.
Many of your accomplishments and civic generosity have been well documented this past month, but I would like to add some additional thoughts from the viewpoint of a former businessman.
Whether it was an advertisement, poster, program, sponsorship, whatever, and it was for a local non-profit, team,club, organization etc., you would usually find Valley Drug listed as a sponsor. I would wager that you, Dan, seldom if ever said no to a legitimate request for a donation of some type. And folks, this is why it pays to shop local.
