The Bitterroot Valley is home to a national champion. Calla Halderson of Corvallis won the NFL National Punt, Pass, and Kick competition on Saturday in Indianapolis. On Sunday, she was introduced at the NFL game between Indianapolis and the Tennessee Titans. Halderson won the 14-15 year age bracket for girls. Last year, the Corvallis freshman finished third.
Her numbers were very impressive. She finished just under 30 feet farther than second place. Her punt was 95’7”, her pass was 124’0”, and her kick was 122’7”. Second place’s totals were 117’2”, 103’9”, and 91’6”.
