The boys and girls wrestling teams from Corvallis, Florence, Hamilton, and Stevensville opened their 2025-2026 seasons at the annual Owen Invitational in Polson on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6.
This tournament featured a strong field as 20 boys teams and 19 girls teams from Montana competed.
Corvallis
The Corvallis boys look to have a strong team this year and won the tournament – the Blue Devils total of 264 edged out Frenchtown’s 251.5. Corvallis heavyweight Jesse James took 1st place in his division. The following Corvallis wrestlers also placed in the tournament.
Byron Stoker took 2nd place at 144, Castin Borkholder took 2nd place at 165, Colton Snyder took 2nd place at 175, Aidan Emerson took 3rd at HWT, Chase Davis took 3rd at 110, Kahle Hill took 3rd at 126, Marshall Jessop took 3rd at 157, Christian Wissenbach took 5th at 103, Leyton Olsen took 5th at 118, and Saxton Jessop took 5th at 175.

The Corvallis girls took 8th as a team. Individually, the Blue Devils had two girls take 1st place: Josie Hillman at 100, and Kaelynn Vanderpool at 115. Raigan Bauman took 5th at 130, Audrey Webber took 6th at 140, and Molly Hall took 6th at 100.
Florence
The Florence girls team took 13th. Individually, Audrey Blair took 3rd at 115, and Hayden Moschelle took 5th at 120.
The Florence boys team tied for 17th. Individually, Caleb Scussel took 2nd at 103.
Hamilton
The Hamilton girls team took 12th. Individually, Cadence McClaran took 2nd at 140, and Marley Olsen took 3rd at 170.
The Hamilton boys team tied for 17th. Individually, Brandon Saltzman took 6th at 165.
Stevensville
The Stevensville boys team took 15th. Individually, Benjamin White took 2nd at 138, and Todd Whitescarver took 3rd place at 150.
The Stevensville girls team took 19th. Individually, Kacey Springer took 5th at 135.
