Corvallis continues winning ways

The Corvallis Blue Devils continued to dominate at the net with a 3-0 win over Stevensville. The team is coming together with Hannah Capko and Genesis Keith, along with Taia Tully controlling the net. Tully is a strong server as is Ashley Davis. Holly Wilson has a good grasp of the floor and uses that to her advantage when setting up the plays. Corvallis won 25-15, 25-17, 25-10. Keith led the blocking with five of 10 blocks for Corvallis. Capko had 13 kills for the Blue Devils who finished with 36 kills. Davis had 17 of the 64 Corvallis digs. She also led the Blue Devils in aces with four. The Blue Devils had 11 aces overall. Wilson had 25 assists.
Stevensville’ Mariah Hinson got going at the net and finished with 10 kills. The team had 14 total kills. Angel Richards had four of the ‘Jackets’ five blocks. Rylee McCoy had all 10 assists and Richards and Austin each had an ace.
Stevensville lost to Butte Central, 25-19, 25-17, 25-13, on Saturday. Hinson had eight of the 17 Stevensville kills. Richards knocked down three blocks. Stevensville had a total of five blocks. Abby Austin had 12 digs and the team had 39 in all. McCoy had all 13 assists and Vanessa Dunn aced five serves. The Yellowjackets had five total aces.
Hamilton defeated Polson, 3-1. The Lady Broncs dropped the first game, 20-25, but then came back to win the next three, 26-24, 25-23, 25-14. Shannon Casale had 21 kills for the Lady Broncs. Caitlin Gillespie had three of Hamilton’s four blocks. Caitlin Dillon had 46 assists. Kloie Nye dug up 25 times while Hamilton had 76 digs total. Tristy Searle had five of the 12 aces for the Lady Broncs. Hamilton improved to 3-2.
