Paula Short is the newest Trustee on the Lone Rock School Board. She was appointed by board members last week to serve the remaining term of Dan Metully, who moved out of the school district earlier this summer. Short was one of three candidates who submitted letters of interest for the vacated position. She will serve the remaining months of Metully’s term and will need to run for election to the board next year, something she says she plans to pursue.
As for her desire to serve as a Trustee at Lone Rock, Short says she hopes to expand outreach from the school and the board into the community. “Folks out here have immense pride in Lone Rock School and I’m looking forward to building on that to support our students, teachers, parents and the community.”
Paula Short joins Lone Rock School Trustees Nancy Preston (Board Chair), Gary Leese (Vice Chair), Wayne Stanford and Deanna Stewart. Contact information for all of the Trustees can be found online at www.lonerockschool.org.
