Afterglow – Solo Exhibition by Colt Idol
There are evanescent moments in the West when everything slows. The sky holds its color a little longer, and light falls over the land, making everything shine with life. That’s the feeling Colt Idol captures. It’s the moment in time where the world is a bit calmer, and the West shines a little brighter. The color may be soft or searing, the subject familiar or new, but each of Colt’s paintings holds that unmistakable energy that happens just after the light starts to go. It’s the West, not in motion, but at rest. This show celebrates that moment. The one that comes just after, when everything feels sharp and still. We call this Afterglow. Please join us for Idol’s live painting demonstration in the gallery on Friday, November 7, 2-4 PM. The artist reception will also be on Friday, November 7, from 5-7 PM.
