Victor defeats Darby
The Victor volleyball team hosted Darby on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The two schools were once in the same Class C conference, but Darby is now a Class B school for volleyball, while Victor is still in Class C.
The two Bitterroot Valley teams still keep the old rivalry warm, and this season both volleyball teams are evenly matched. Darby won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-13. Then Victor came roaring back and won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-23. In the deciding fifth set, Victor came out on top, winning 15-8 to get the 3-2 victory.
For Darby, Hadley Heiland had 6 aces, 8 kills, and 3 blocks. Brooklynn Janis had 3 aces and 6 kills. Austin Hackel had 3 aces and 9 assists. Bentley Rouse had 10 aces, 5 kills, and 13 assists.
Darby hosted Plains on Friday, Sept. 25, and Darby lost 1-3 (25-20, 9-25, 6-25, 17-25).
Victor hosted Superior on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Victor lost 1-3 (18-25, 16-25, 25-19, 22-25).
Corvallis
The Corvallis volleyball team hosted Frenchtown on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and lost 0-3 (5-25, 18-25, 21-25). Then on Thursday, Sept. 24, Corvallis played at Hamilton and lost 0-3 (19-25, 22-25, 15-25).
Florence
The Florence volleyball team played at Anaconda on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and won 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-18). For Florence, Emory Ralston had 14 kills and 7 digs. Sawyer Morton had 14 assists. Lexi Danczyk had 6 kills and 17 assists. Kirklan Bates had 9 kills and 11 digs. Hadley Gilman had 11 digs.
Then on Thursday, Sept. 24, Florence hosted Deer Lodge and won 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-18). For Florence, Lexi Danczyk had 7 kills, 6 assists, and 5 digs. Sawyer Morton had 22 assists. Kirklan Bates had 9 kills and 5 digs. Emory Ralston had 7 aces, 10 kills, and 10 digs.
Hamilton
The Hamilton volleyball team hosted Corvallis on Thursday, Sept. 24, and won 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-15). For Hamilton, Jade Jimenez had 15 digs. Morgan Lubke had 31 assists. Reyanna Gum had 14 kills and 6 digs. Ella Griffin had 11 kills and 11 digs. Kaitlyn Snavely had 6 kills and 5 blocks.
Hamilton hosted Butte Central on Saturday, Sept. 26, and won 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-19).
