Back to School is nearly here. It can be a very exciting time for young families – finding out who the kids’ teachers are and who will be in their classes. Getting new clothes and school supplies, and getting into a new routine. For some families it is exciting and financially stressful. The Salvation Army, including our local service center, has a back-to-school program to help families in need pay for new clothing and school supplies. Families apply for this program, and awardees will be shopping on August 14th for their clothing and supplies.
Fidelis Temukum, our local service center director, has secured funding for 42 children to shop on the 14th. There are at least 8 children on the waiting list. Let’s help these kids and families.
Please be generous and drop a donation off at the Salvation Army Service Center – 217 N. 3rd St., Suite B2, Hamilton, MT 59840. While you are there you can see the showers, laundry facilities, food pantry, and gift pantry that they provide to help local families in need.
