Florence – Douglas Allen Ebel passed away at his home in Florence, Montana on August 17th, 2026. He was born on July 8th, 1951, in Rolla, North Dakota to Audrey Geer Ebel and Adrian Robert Ebel. His parents preceded him in death.
Doug moved to Stevensville, Montana with his family when he was 4 years old. He attended Stevensville Schools and graduated in 1969. He played football, and basketball. In later years he played softball and golf.
Doug attended Montana State University until Uncle Sam called. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany from 1972 to 1974. He was in the 3rd Armored Division, Spearhead.

In 1985 Doug and Nancy Forman were married in Maui, Hawaii. Along with Nancy came two young boys and Doug had an instant family. With his family Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, duck hunting, golf and watching football. Doug loved cheeseburgers, Coors beer and the Dallas Cowboys.
Doug was in the concrete business for 38 years. He worked on many projects around Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley. His company was called Bruin Concrete.
Doug is survived by his wife Nancy. Sons, Christopher & (Julie) Carpenter, Port Charlotte, Florida; Leonard & (Anita) Carpenter, Kodiak, Alaska. Grandchildren: Traci, Chandra & (Justin), Matthew, Avery & (Brandon), Chloe, Alyssa, Tristen, Austin, Cheyenne and Phoebe; and 4 great grandchildren. Siblings: Adrienne & (Steve) Davis, Stevensville, MT; Debbie & (Dan) Severson, Stevensville, MT; Dennis & (Roma) Ebel, Missoula, MT; Charles & (Belinda) Ebel, New York and Thomas & (Angie) Ebel, Minnesota. Stepmother: Pat Ebel, Minnesota.
