The golf teams from Corvallis, Hamilton, and Stevensville started their seasons in Ronan at the aptly named Ronan Invitational on Thursday, August 20, against nine other Class A schools.
Hamilton’s Cameron Burnett shot a three-over 75 to take first place in the girls standing; Burnett took 6th place at last year’s Class A State Tournament. Corvallis’s Dylan Wirt shot an even-par 72 to place 2nd in the boys individual standings, Wirt took 7th place at last year’s Class A State Tournament.
In the girls team standings, Corvallis took 2nd place, and Hamilton took 3rd place. In the boys team standings, Hamilton took 6th place, Corvallis took 7th place, and Stevensville took 9th.
Corvallis boys: Dylan Wirt tied for 2nd (72), Tanner Sorenson tied for 17th (81), Sage Fisher tied for 41st (96), Jace Sacks tied for 49th (104), and Cooper Alley placed 53rd (109).
Corvallis girls: Kirsten Race placed 5th (87), Gracee Storrud tied for 10th (97), Vivian Storrud tied for 16th (101), Chloe Clements tied for 20th (103), and Coco Wheeler tied for 34th (119).
Hamilton girls: Cameron Burnett placed 1st (75), Ellie Hattlestad took 12th (98), Avery Dowd tied for 13th (99), and Hayley Weber placed 33rd (117).
Hamilton boys: Crimson Beyer tied for 17th (81), Cash Duncan tied for 21st (83), Sawyer Dowd tied for 24th (84), and Treyden Weber placed 47th (101).
Stevensville boys: Ty Umland tied for 28th (85), Jack Conrad tied for 28th (85), James Muir placed 34th (89), Weston Cotton tied for 45th (100), and Jackson Guenzler placed 52nd (107).
Stevensville girls: Jocelyn Lambert tied for 10th (97), Bella Raszler tied for 25th (106), and Elle Patterson placed 40th (138).
