Western A Divisional track results

The boys and girls track teams from Corvallis, Hamilton, and Stevensville competed in the Western A Divisional Track and Field Meet in Frenchtown on May 22-23.

The Hamilton girls team won the Western A Divisional championship, and the Corvallis boys took home the Western A Divisional second place trophy. 

The top ten individual finishers qualified for the Class A State Track and Field Meet, which takes place at the Laurel Sports Complex in Laurel from Thursday, May 28, through Saturday, May 30.

Corvallis Divisional Results

The Corvallis boys team took second place, while the Corvallis girls team took fifth. 

Corvallis Boys Winners: Taggart Jessop won in the 3200m (10:01.97) and finished 2nd in the 1600m (4:29.79).

Corvallis Boys Top Six: Ayden Spencer took 2nd in the 100m (11.03), 2nd in the 200m (22.32) and 3rd in the discus (164-09). Reese Tucker placed 4th in the 110m hurdles (15.71) and 3rd in the triple jump (42-01.25). Marrek Jessop took 3rd in the 3200m (10:11.31). Tanner Sorensen took 5th in the 110m hurdles (15.91) and 3rd in the long jump (20-08.50). Carter Koerner finished 4th in the 3200m (10:17.29). Jeremy Davidson placed 6th in the 800m (2:01.48) and 5th in the 1600m (4:33.53). Nathan Keller finished 4th in the high jump (6-00.00). Aidan Emerson took 3rd in the shot put (50-05.00). The 4x100m relay team finished 3rd (43.63) with a lineup of Byron Stoker, Dexter Harper, Javin Jessop, and Ayden Spencer.

Corvallis Girls Winners: The 4x100m relay team took 1st place (49.18) with a lineup of Ella Varner, Kate Allen, Jillian Huls, and Brynlee Tucker.

Corvallis Girls Top Six: Jillian Huls took 2nd in the 100m (12.56), 3rd in the 200m (26.06) and 5th in the long jump (17-04.50). Ella Varner finished 4th in the 100m (12.80) and 3rd in the long jump (17-11.75). Kate Allen took 2nd in the 100m hurdles (16.22). Brynlee Tucker finished 3rd in the 100m hurdles (16.74). Chloe Hagberg took 4th in the pole vault (9-06.00). Sophie Hagberg finished 6th in the pole vault (9-00.00). Lauryn Holmberg tied for 6th in the high jump (4-08.00). Bea Paxson placed 5th in the shot put (36-06.00). Cheyenne Herbert finished 6th in the 3200m (12:24.29).

Hamilton Divisional Results

The Hamilton girls team were the Western A Divisional Champions, while the Hamilton boys team took fifth place.

Hamilton Girls Winners: Annalise Lewis won the 400m (59.26) and the 800m (2:13.46). Aleigha Child won the 3200m (11:38.03) and placed 3rd in the 1600m (5:18.52). Aubrey Korst won the pole vault (11-06.00) and finished 4th in the 300m hurdles (48.00). Gracie Werst won the shot put (38-01.50). The 4x400m relay team also took 1st place (4:04.52) with a lineup of Aubrey Korst, Nellie Dickemore, Jenna Ellis, and Annalise Lewis.

Hamilton Girls Top Six: Nellie Dickemore took 4th in the 400m (1:01.28). Reecelyn Walthall finished 3rd in the 3200m (11:58.21) and 6th in the 1600m (5:22.21). Jenna Ellis took 3rd in the 300m hurdles (45.79). Kassidee McKern tied for 4th in the high jump (4-08.00). Meryn Leonardi placed 5th in the javelin (101-09). Scarlett Gard took 6th in the javelin (101-06). The 4x100m relay team finished 4th (50.50) with a lineup of Aubrey Korst, Morgan Lubke, Nellie Dickemore, and Jenna Ellis.

Hamilton Boys: Brayden Lanser took 4th in the 400m (51.44) and 2nd in the 800m (1:56.56). Taylor Doleac finished 2nd in the discus (168-08) and 6th in the 300m hurdles (41.94). Everett Stumpf placed 2nd in the shot put (50-10.50) and 5th in the discus (147-06). Roland Bennett took 4th in the shot put (48-07.00) and 4th in the discus (151-08). Kaeden Gum finished 6th in the discus (146-00). The 4x400m relay team took 4th place (3:32.40) with a lineup of Luke McCarthy, Marshall Smith, Benjamin Beare, and Brayden Lanser.

Stevensville results

The Stevensville girls team took fourth place, while the boys team took 11th. 

Stevensville Girls: Reagan Johnstone won the 100m hurdles (14.85), took 2nd in the 200m (25.64), and 2nd in the 300m hurdles (45.00). Eva Brunell won the discus (117-05). Sophia Hutchison finished 2nd in the long jump (18-02.75) and 2nd in the triple jump (35-08.75).

Stevensville boys: The boys 4x100m team, consisting of Carter Kowal, Hunter Moore, Delaware Braverman, and Benjamin White, took 6th place.
