Class A at Ronan Invitational
The Corvallis, Hamilton and Stevensville wrestling teams were at the Ronan Invitational in Ronan on Friday, January 9, and Saturday Jan. 10.
In the boys team standings, Corvallis took 3rd place, Stevensville took 10th, and Hamilton took 13th.
Individually for the Corvallis boys, Jesse James took 1st place at HWT, Castin Borkholder took 2nd at 157, Chase Davis took 2nd at 110, Colton Snyder took 2nd at 175, Kahle Hill took 2nd at 126, Aidan Emerson took 3rd at HWT, Saxton Jessop took 3rd at 175, Shane Spencer took 4th at 144, Colter Bester took 5th at 165, and Leyton Olsen took 6th at 118.
Individually for the Stevensville boys, Benjamin White took 1st place at 138, and Todd Whitescarver took 1st at 144.
Individually for the Hamilton boys, Brandon Saltzman took 5th at 157, and Cameron Beall took 5th at 138.
In the girls team standings, Corvallis took 2nd, Hamilton took 8th, and Stevensville took 13th.
Individually for the Corvallis girls, Kaelynn Vanderpool took 1st place at 115, Josie Hillman took 2nd at 100,Tenley Benson took 2nd at 110, Ember Carmichael took 4th at 105, Kassy Oliver took 4th at 170, Kendyl Sutherland took 4th at 235, Halle Stromberg took 5th at 115, Jacquia McLeod took 5th at 235, Raigan Bauman took 5th at 130, and Aspen Iman took 6th at 155.
Individually for the Hamilton girls, Cadence McClaran took 1st at 140, Marley Olsen took 1st at 170, Gabby Vaca took 2nd at 120, Addison Geroy took 4th at 145, and Peyton Boggs took 5th at 170.
Individually for the Stevensville girls, Kacey Springer took 4th at 130.
Class B at Cut Bank Invitational
The wrestling teams from Florence and Darby made the trek to Cut Bank for the aptly named Cut Bank Invitational on Friday, January 9, and Saturday, Jan. 10. Over 35 high school teams competed in the event, so a top six individual finish was an impressive achievement.
Florence finished in 12th place while Darby took 21st in the boys teams standings. Huntley Project took 1st place.
Individually for the Florence boys, Christian Englund took 4th at 190, Max Rosenthal took 5th at 138, Brett Riley took 6th at 157, and Landon Serevaag took 6th at 132.
Individually for the Florence girls, Ava Depee took 5th at 105.
Individually for the Darby boys, Eli Spross took 4th at 215.
Individually for the Darby girls, Halana May took 4th at 155, and Tayler Rust took 6th at 110.
