The passage of time is allowing the proponents of the mining activity to use our government to act in their favor. Time is running out, and those who can stop the progress and shine light upon the circumstance are primarily the counties that would be affected.
One might ask why the counties do not act to defend those who guarantee their continued existence. The cash flow would be significantly diminished as the Valley becomes a mere shadow of what it once was.
Why doesn’t Ravalli County, or better yet, Ravalli and Missoula Counties, file suit to stop the progress in its tracks and force specifics out into the open to create the possibility for meaningful analysis?
Why?
