Chaos

January 20, 2026 by Guest Post 6 Comments

by Tom Tunny, Hamilton

If you think President Trump‘s first term was chaotic, you ain’t seen nothing yet! There have been a number of Trump-sponsored events this week that have managed to push the Epstein Files way off the front page.

1. Minneapolis: A woman was shot Wednesday by an ICE Agent who said he thought she was going to run him over. This same Agent (Ross) had been dragged by another car in the recent past when he busted the driver’s side window. The driver was spooked and stepped on the gas. The officer was dragged along by the car with his arm stuck in the window. The FBI is investigating Wednesday’s incident. How is it that ICE Agents can keep their faces covered and are not required to wear body cameras?

2. Venezuela: “They cut off the head (Maduro), but left the body (his administration),” thus providing no relief for the people of Venezuela. Trump told the oil companies that if they gave $1 billion to his campaign, he would give them Venezuela and its oil. They did and he did!

3. Minnesota: Somali refugees have been called “garbage” by our president. He has cut off childcare funds to Minnesota while the Feds investigate fraud. While he was at it, the president cut off funds to five other Democratic states just for the heck of it!

4. Portland: US Border Patrol agents shot and wounded two people in a car. They were suspected of being members of the Tren de Aragua gang. How did the agents know they were members of this gang while they were in a car?

5. Zinke: our US Representative, Ryan Zinke, embarrassed himself during an interview on PBS on Thursday night by unashamedly defending the actions of the president on all matters of importance. Time for a new Representative from Montana…as well as a new Senator!

6. Greenland: in a backhanded attempt to destroy NATO, our president has threatened to take Greenland from Denmark, another NATO country. If he succeeds, the US will be thrown out of NATO. Our president likes Greenland because he thinks they have “greenbacks” growing on the trees! Stephen Miller will have to set him straight!

7. The Epstein files: see how far Mr. Trump has managed to push the Epstein files off the front page! Ms. Bondi says there are still over 1 million Epstein communiques to be “redacted.” How can she and her staff possibly get to them with all of this other stuff going on?

8. AND what about the ACA Supplementals, Ukraine, Iran, Israel, Nigeria, and the elusive Peace Prize? January 20 represents the end of President Trump‘s first year in office. Whew…I’m looking forward to it.

SEE YOU ON THE CORNER!

    Frank,
    I fear YOU are confused!
Under President Obama, 2 to 3 million illegal aliens were deported. There was none of this insane Gestapo type activity from ICE or the calling out of National Guard troops into our cities.
Obama‘s administration carried out this mandate in a sensible, low-key, compassionate way!
Trump‘s intention is to scare our citizens now for when the time comes for him to declare Marshall/Authoritarian rule.
I hope our Republican brothers and sisters wake up to this fact before we are all living under Trump‘s thumb!
Thank you for your attention to this matter! TPT

Obama’s ICE deported twice as many illegals as Trump. In fact, he awarded a medal to Homan for his work in work cleaning up the “garbage” so, one needs to ask – what is wrong with you?

This disgusting display of lawlessness by the liberals looks like a mental illness. Do you need to get some help?

I’m a little mystified by your comments, Frank. You commented that Homan deported twice as many people under the Obama administration. We never saw thugs with masks jumping out of cars and gang tackling someone, or 3 masked agents break out a woman of color’s car window, drag her out of her car, cut her seatbelt and then watch as 4 masked ICE agents carry her face down to their unmarked and unidentifiable car. This didn’t happen during the Obama administration, but this seems a common occurrence now. An obvious comment–during the Obama administration Homan must have operated with more decency: ie take your stupid mask off, then stop acting like a street thug.; breaking out car windows, ramming cars, breaking down doors….. these are all obvious thug tactics, and don’t have a place in our democracy, where everyone in entitled to be treated with respect. If what you say is true, that Obama deported more people than Trump, then why are we in this situation, with ICE invading cities (Blue cities, by the way), and thanks to the Big Bill, ICE’s budget is now spending more than all other federal law enforcement agencies combined. Let’s see…..Trump is more violent,(Joe Rogan, of all people, compared ICE tactics to the Gestapo!!), Trump spends way more of our tax dollars, Trump isn’t deporting as many illegals. Your arguments just don’t seem to add up, Frank. I don’t get it.

Tom, I saw a video of an ICE protester hit an Agent with her car, and during the process she was shot and killed. Do you support lawlessness? Trump is correct about Somali’s and their fraud in Minnesota. Look back a little bit ago and see what Obama created.

First, I suggest doing a thorough analysis before drawing conclusions. There are a lot of videos out there. The NY Times did a good job with a screen by screen breakdown of multiple videos. There are a few factors that are worth considering. Clearly, when approached by multiple ICE agents, with one sticking his hand inside her car, the driver, Renee Good, was concerned with getting out of there. This is exactly what she did. You don’t have to look too hard to find videos of people being dragged out of their car and thrown to the ground by an ICE officer. That was certainly her concern. Second, the shooter was approaching from in front of the car. Not very smart when an anxious driver is bound to be looking to flee, and totally against any law enforcement training that he received.. Third, no law enforcement is allowed to shoot his firearm unless his life is in danger. I would venture to say that the only danger he faced was getting brushed by the car as it went by, and no amount of shooting would change that. The shooter was filmed walking around after the incident, so I doubt if he was hurt too bad. The Times videos show him slipping on the ice on the road, and one angle shows clear distance between him and the car with his feet sliding away. Very interesting to note that during all of this he still fired his gun and was videoing with his phone in the other hand. How did he manage to shoot and film at the same time if he was in so much danger. Two of the three shots appeared to be after Good’s vehicle was clearly starting down the street.. An investigation would typically be routine, but not with this Justice Dept. Regarding Somalis, Trump’s attacks are reminiscent of his attacks on Haitians eating dogs. After seeing the size of protests this past weekend, I am guessing the people of Minneapolis are way more concerned about ICE than they are Somalis.. More racism coming out of the WH. The vast majority of Minnesota’s 100000 Somalis are peaceful and hard working.

      Kevin,
      Thanks for your comments.
As you have seen by now, the videos do NOT support the claim that the car hit Officer Ross. Also, He has been involved in other incidents where he has overstepped the line.
Yes, under President Obama 2.7 million illegals were deported, but you did not have the National Guard and the ICE Gestapo terrorizing every day citizens as we have under Trump. There should be a route for illegal immigrants to become legal if they wish to stay here…. not to simply round them up and put them and their children in prison for months or years or to send them to far off countries to be imprisoned.
I believe the real purpose of the ICE forces is designed to terrorize Americans as Trump moves towards an authoritarian form of government!
