Thanks to Stevensville officials, staff

December 30, 2025 by Guest Post 1 Comment

by Angela Lyons, Stevensville

I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding leadership and dedicated service that have guided our town through a period of remarkable progress and stability. It is important to recognize those who have worked tirelessly on behalf of our community, and I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank those whose efforts have made a meaningful difference in the lives of Stevensville and surrounding residents.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mayor Bob Michalson for your exceptional leadership and service to Stevensville over the past few years. Your accomplishments, in partnership with our dedicated Town staff and the Town council, have strengthened our town and improved the quality of life for all residents.

I also want to extend a “Thank You” to our former Mayor Steve Gibson who stepped up at a critical juncture to get the Town back on track after the disastrous and fraudulent mayorship of Brandon Dewey.

Bob took over where Steve left off and the Town of Stevensville is now in a stable financial position under your guidance and with an amazing amount of hard work by the Finance team.

Transparency into Town policies, processes, budgets, and activities are 100% improved. Infrastructure projects like street paving and water system repairs have moved the Town forward with the hard work of our Public Works team.

The collaboration with Mayor Gibson on Town water rights and the upgrades at the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants will benefit Stevensville for years to come.

Thank you to all of the hard-working Town employees that keep Stevensville running smoothly every day. The progress made couldn’t have happened without your love, dedication and focus. I, and many others, appreciate all that you do.

Many thanks to Council Member Stacie Barker for your leadership on the Town council over the years, as well. Your knowledge of our Town history and Town government is impressive and has helped you guide Stevensville through difficult and serious issues.

Bob and Stacie, your dedication and love for Stevensville and its citizens is obvious to everyone. The plans and projects that you championed will serve as a foundation for thoughtful growth in the years ahead.

Throughout your tenure, you both have conducted Town business in a professional manner, always keeping the betterment of Stevensville and its citizens at the forefront of every decision. This integrity and commitment to public service sets a standard I deeply appreciate.

Thank you again for your service to our community.

Well said. I have hope that Mr. Crews will continue this path forward. He has big shoes to fill.
If you see Mr. Michalson on his daily walks, please say a big “thank you”.
