December 16, 2025 by Editor Leave a Comment

In loving memory of Milton E. McQuigg, age 94, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at his home in Hamilton, Montana.

Milton was born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 18, 1931 to Arthur and Burdell McQuigg. He lived and worked much of his life in the Mt. Vernon area, Knox County, Ohio. Milton was a decorated US Army Soldier who proudly served his country and flag during combat in Korea. During his service in Korea, Milton displayed extreme Honor and Valor for which he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Although he never spoke much of his service, his time serving his country was very dear to his heart.

After his discharge from service, Milton met and married the love of his life, Glenna L. (Brollier) McQuigg and they were blessed with 72 years of marriage.

Milton supported his family by working at PPG Glass in Mt. Vernon until they closed the doors. Milton also was a Deputy Sheriff for the Knox County Sheriff Office for several years and also worked building homes with his brother Marvin McQuigg.

For retirement, Milton and Glenna moved to Buena Vista, Colorado where they enjoyed the beautiful mountains, snowmobiling, traveling, and they were active in the local Mountain Search and Rescue. Milton and Glenna then became full-time RVers, spending 21 years enjoying life together in Arizona and New Mexico until moving to Montana to be with family.

Milton is survived by his wife of 72 years, Glenna McQuigg, his children Christopher (Tammy) McQuigg of Hamilton, Montana, David Yvan (Cyndi) McQuigg of Kalispell, Montana, Nerissa (Fred) Confer of Ashland, Ohio, Glen McQuigg of Townsend, Montana, 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Burdell McQuigg, brother Marvin McQuigg and sister Donna Robson.

Brothers Mortuary and Crematory of Hamilton Montana has arranged a family graveside service along with Full Military Honors burial on January 7, 2026 at Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula, Montana.

Condolences can be sent to Glenna McQuigg, 608 N 4th St, Hamilton, MT 59840.
