Nicholas G. Hallett, 77, passed away on January 13, 2025, at home with family by his side and cat Leo at his feet, after an almost three-year battle with cancer.
Nicholas was a well-known figure in the community. With good friend Stephen Goheen, he assisted computer users at Top Down Computer Consultants. He served on the Hamilton School Board for many years, and coached and refereed soccer for the Ravalli Sports Club. Ravalli County Bank (later TrailWest) got the benefit of his IT expertise until his retirement. Nick was an enthusiastic gardener in his spare time, and enjoyed the company of rescue animals through the years. He asked that friends and family be thanked for the moments of joy they afforded him. The family also thanks oncologist Dr. Linda Ries and the staff of St. Patrick’s Chemo Center for their excellent care and kindness.
He is survived by wife Elisabeth, daughter Rosie, son Devin (Marina), granddaughter Paloma, and brother Michael (Mary Lynn). Condolences for the family may be left at daly-leachchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Bitterroot Humane Association.
