Last week the Bitterroot Valley cross country teams had one final event before the State Meet, which will be at the University of Montana Golf Course on Saturday, October 26 in Missoula.
The Darby and Florence teams were at Thompson Falls for the B/C Invite on Thursday, Oct. 17. The Corvallis, Hamilton and Stevensville teams were in Libby for the Western A Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 18.
At the B/C Invite, for the boys, Florence senior Kyler Harris won the event with a time of 16:15.42. Florence’s CJ Pijanowski took 4th (16:44.57). Darby’s Ben Martin took 7th (17:12.10), Florence’s Max Rosenthal took 12th (18:06.25), and Darby’s Taylor Graham took 16th (18:25.41).
In the girls race, Darby’s Lily Adair took 5th (21:13.78) and Darby’s Brooklyn Rogers took 9th (21:50.35). Florence’s highest finisher was Maddy Ondrasek who finished 24th (23:45.36).
At the Western A Fall Classic, for the boys, Corvallis’s Jack Davidson won the event with a time of 16:04.20. Corvallis’s Carter Koerner took 6th (16:36.69) and Corvallis’s Marrek Jessop took 9th (16:40.85). Hamilton’s highest finisher was Benjamin Beare who finished 12th (17:00.31). Stevensville’s highest finisher was Benjamin White who finished 25th (17:35.25).
For the girls, Hamilton’s Aleigha Child finished 2nd (18:50.17), Corvallis’s Violet Jessop finished 3rd (19:15.43), and Hamilton’s Claire Seifert finished 6th (19:49.96). Hamilton’s Reecelyn Walthall finished 10th (20:13.24).
The Montana All Class State Meet will take place at the University of Montana Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Missoula.
