Griz management plan on target?

August 20, 2024 by Guest Post

by Wayne Adair, Hamilton

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte recently declared that Montana is prepared and capable of managing the state’s grizzly bear population without interference from the federal government and he would be forever grateful if they would simply release control of this iconic beast to his capable hands.

Gianforte even included a six-point justification as to why he believes this to be true. According to GG, the bears are biologically recovered, genetically connected and some other stuff.

He has been less open about how the state plans to manage Ursus arctos horribilis.

Knowing his tendency to shoot wolves trapped by someone else and lie about it, I suspect his plan is simple. Something like this:

Minimum caliber allowed for management: .30-06; however, magnum calibers are preferred for maximum management efficiency.

    Bill,
The budget surplus is because the body slammer is so fiscally responsible? I beg to differ. Consider the following from the Montana Free Press:
State budget analysts attribute income tax revenue growth to extra money circulating in the economy as a result of massive federal stimulus spending during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to inflation and migration into the state by “high income individuals.”

    $2.5 BILLION dollar Budget Surplus.
$1 BILLION in rebates to Montanans
The state of Montana has ZERO Debt

But tell me more about the Bears……

What does one have to do with the other, Bill?

And since you brought it up, where did that budget surplus come from?

He’s a good governor who knows how to run a state properly and keep us Economically sound. You’re just hiding under cover of a Grizzly story to call him names which is the Democrat party in a nutshell. (ooh sorry, didn’t mean to offend in case you have some Squirrel preservation story you’re following).
I’ll Take a guy who Runs an efficient (not bloated) government, over you’re guy any day of the week. That is where surplus comes from Wayne,
You can of course move to California who’s in a massive budget deficit, high income taxes AND massive sales taxes. I’m sure Gavin has a nice Grizzly plan in place there.

$2.5 Million Dollar state budget surplus, ZERO Debt, $1MM given back to Montanans.

But, seriously tell me more about the bears……..
