Treason

March 12, 2024 by Guest Post

by Jim Crews, Stevensville

Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in leaving War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open court.

Now, in my simple mind, I would think that allowing known enemies of the country into the country, giving them buses, plane tickets, motels, credit cards and all that sort of stuff (aid, comfort, aligning oneself with the enemies of our country), allowing them a free run without prosecution when crimes are committed seems to fit the definition of Treason.

In my mind it also means that Sanctuary Cities and all the elected officials and public servants that foster this activity might be in violation of Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution.

So the question is, how long do we wait until we bring charges against these people suspected of committing treason?

Should we all dittybop down to our local sheriff’s office and start filing charges of treason against these people?

Just curious.

Oh, and while we are at it, this is not a Democratic country. You see, Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution states as follows: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government…”

I do not see the word “Democracy” ever mentioned anywhere in our Constitution. (That is because we are not one, never have been.) School teachers wake up, tell the kids the truth and you adults, you ought to know better.
